Given the lack of moonlight, this years Perseid meteor shower, which peaks tonight, is expected to be sensational. As many as 90-100 meteors per hour may dart through the sky at the expected peak, between about midnight and 6 a.m. Thursday. But meteors will be visible beginning at dark.
